The 50 new Calitoo devices were calibrated at Izana on the Canary Island of Tenerife at the beginning of May 2024.
We had to wait a few days for the weather to be right for calibration, i.e. cloudless, dust-free skies.
As usual, we were warmly welcomed by the team of Spanish scientists at the AEMET station, located at 2367m on the mountain of Izana in the center of the island of Tenerife, no longer from the Teide volcano.
We were able to collect between 18 and 22 measurements per photometer, per measurement day. It took us 3 full days to pass the 50 Calitoo in front of the Canarian Sun.
